Baker Burton & Lundy Earns “Super Star Firm” Recognition from UCLA Law

Baker Burton & Lundy has been named a Super Star Firm in UCLA School of Law’s 24th Annual Law Firm Challenge—one of only three firms in its category to receive the campaign’s highest distinction.

The recognition feels especially meaningful during Baker Burton & Lundy’s 50th anniversary year. Led by UCLA Law alumnus Brad Baker ’75, the firm achieved both 100% participation and Gold Star Status, demonstrating a firmwide commitment to supporting the next generation of legal professionals.

A Firmwide Accomplishment

Earning Super Star status requires more than making a contribution. Every UCLA Law alumnus at the firm must participate in the campaign, and every UCLA Law alumni partner must make a qualifying leadership gift.

Baker Burton & Lundy accomplished both.

In other words, this wasn’t an individual award with the firm’s name attached to it. It was a collective effort, and we’re proud of everyone who helped make it possible.

The recognition reflects something that has guided Baker Burton & Lundy throughout its 50-year history: a belief that the legal profession is strengthened when experienced attorneys invest in the people who will carry it forward.

Brad Baker’s UCLA Law Connection

Brad graduated from UCLA School of Law in 1975, one year before the firm was founded. The education, relationships and professional foundation he developed at UCLA helped shape a legal career that has now spanned more than five decades.

During that time, Baker Burton & Lundy has grown from a local practice into one of the South Bay’s most established law firms. While the firm’s size, capabilities and areas of practice have expanded, its priorities have remained remarkably consistent: perform excellent work, earn clients’ trust and contribute to the community that has supported the firm.

Supporting UCLA Law is one way Brad and the firm continue that commitment.

Investing in the Future of the Profession

More than 700 UCLA Law alumni participated in this year’s Law Firm Challenge, collectively raising nearly $1 million to support students and the law school.

Those contributions help create opportunities for future attorneys through scholarships, public-interest programs, experiential learning, professional development and other educational resources.

For Baker Burton & Lundy, participating in the challenge is about more than giving back to a respected institution. It is an investment in the future attorneys, advocates, judges, civic leaders and trusted advisors who will serve California’s communities in the years ahead.

We are honored to be recognized alongside Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck and Hueston Hennigan as one of the campaign’s three Tier 3 Super Star Firms.

Congratulations to Brad and everyone at Baker Burton & Lundy who participated in this year’s challenge.
