Albro L. In 2013, Albro argued Martinez v. Brownco before the California Supreme Court, securing a unanimous decision that changed more than forty years of precedent governing statutory settlement offers. The ruling reshaped California settlement law and continues to influence litigation strategy statewide.

Albro was honored as California Trial Lawyer of the Year and has been selected as a California Super Lawyer for many consecutive years. He is AV-rated and is frequently sought out by fellow trial attorneys to handle complex, high-exposure cases through trial. He is a member of Consumer Attorneys of California, the Consumer Attorneys Association of Los Angeles, and the American Association for Justice, and he is a regular speaker at legal conventions, including on medical malpractice litigation.

A graduate of UCLA and Loyola Law School, Albro maintains deep ties to Loyola, where he and his firm co-founded the Consumer Protection Law Chair and endowed a scholarship supporting law students with financial need. National & Local Advocacy

From small towns to Congress, inside and outside of the courtroom, Albro has stood up for what’s right. He worked with Muhammad Ali, Al Gore and Ross Perot to advocate for the release of American prisoners still believed to be held hostage by the Vietnamese government.

Albro has argued and delivered sworn testimony before both the Senate and House of Representatives. His stand for the defenseless attracted the attention of national media and he has appeared on Larry King LiveGood Morning America, the Ronald Reagan Show and Crossfire.

Community Service

Since 1986, Albro has been involved with Plant with Purpose, a non-profit that works to reverse deforestation and poverty. He served on its Board of Directors for ten years and he is currently general counsel.

Albro also serves on the Advisory Board of CORO a nationwide public affairs training program.

Albro strongly believes in the life-saving importance of donating blood. He has been donating since he was 16 years old and has donated over 175 pints. Albro is also a member of the St. Lawrence Martyr Parish in Redondo Beach and served on its Parish Council for six years.
